You are invited to come to a FREE seminar, where you will have the opportunity to discuss weight loss surgery options with our surgeons and the nurse specialist. Seminars are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6pm in the Lesher Room on the main level at John Muir Medical Center, 2540 East St. in Concord. No obligation; everyone welcome. The following services are provided for qualified patients:
Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Adjustable Lap-Band, and Duodenal Switch: these surgeries can usually be performed laparoscopically depending on patient history and condition.
A team of surgeons with advanced laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgical skills who have a special interest in the field of bariatrics (weight management). The surgeons are members of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
Comprehensive care coordination by a bariatric nurse specialist who meets with you and your family prior to surgery and provides support and follow-up
Nutrition counseling and education by a clinical dietitian
Monthly patient support groups
Psychological support services and therapy
Individual fitness evaluation and exercise counseling
